Dear Readers,
Arka & Earth mentors teacher research and collaborates with primary schools throughout the country, supporting them to run effective literacy improvement programmes and parent education workshops. We believe that education should be holistic and transformative. Whichever school we work with, we thrive for positive changes in teaching learning culture in the schools.
Ramailo After-School prorgramme, conducted nationwide, is designed to create a platform for students to creatively engage in fun integrative activities. The essence behind this effort is to encourage parents to engage their children in healthy and productive ways of recreation during their free time. Activities such as cooking, board games, writer’s workshop and Reader’s Theatre allows students to take a break from the screen time and develop their communication skills, problem solving capacity and other important life skills.
Similarly, the same prorgramme, conducted freely in our outdoor centre located in Dingla, works on the same agenda to give back to our remote and under-privileged community. The fact that students in the remote community are missing hands-on and experiential learning opportunities inspired us to start this mission.
